Toki (Adze). The shape represents an important tool often used by Māori for carving, shaping, and weaponry and was originally used for practical purposes however, toki are worn as a symbol of strength, determination, courage, and Mana.
Parāoa (Whale Bone). Whales hold great significance to Māori, representing abundance and wealth. In some iwi, they are believed to be descendants of Tangaroa, the god of the ocean. When a whale becomes stranded, it is seen as a gift from Tangaroa and carving it is a way of showing gratitude.
Due to these being genuine whale bone, shipping is only available within Aotearoa, New Zealand.
